Feb. 5 - Panama

Day 188 – Today is the day that most Americans, whether they like it or not, are watching TV to see the Super Bowl!!! Or is it really to see all the new high-tech, new wave commercials? Of course having tons of party food and eating all day while watching is fun too. BUT the most exciting aspect of today is that the Seattle Seahawks will be playing, yes playing, in the Super Bowl!! Cool, cool – and even though we are in Panama, we can still watch it live with everyone else in the states, due to the technology of cable TV.

   I love reading your Blog. I can imagine the scenery you are passing by but the pictures help lots. Sitting at my desk in London it is awesome to think of the two of you trying to negotiate with corrupt officials and boarder guards. You must be mad to take a vehicle with you on this adventure it can only be adding to both the fun and the stress. Keep writing because we love reading.

   Yes, we were watching the game. Mikes office all came down with the bird flu at exactly kick off time–so all went home.

   Thank you for our introduction to SuperBowl. It’s just a shame those darn cheating referees were rooting for the other team. We took your advice and headed north to Costa Rica - You’re right, it is beautiful. We’re hot on the car idea, eventually heading up to see the skies of the Arizona desert.

   You’ve hit a former home!! Lived in Balboa next to the elementary school. But its probably not as exciting without all the coup attempts going on to keep us locked up in school with helicopters landing in the front lawn…
   Hope you’re enjoying it. Ah how I wish I could be somewhere tropical right now (not that Boise is too cold). catch a caiman for me!
